I had an emergency issue in the upper floor at home and called AcuCert. Ian provided a reasonable time frame and was there on time. He resolved the issue in an impressively short time. He is a very pleasant man to deal with, at the same time quite the professional. Another thing to note is that in my worry about the emergency I didn't quote him on advance, but his price was reasonable and standard. If I have to sum up my whole feeling about the company: pleasant and trustworthy.

I used AcuCert to carry out an EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) for a flat I'm renting out. Ian was there on time, professional and friendly, and did a very thorough job. He replied straight away to a question I had about a detail on the report. Price was comparable to others and even if it had been more, I prefer to pay a bit more for a really professional service - harder to find these days! AcuCert will be my first choice for any other electrical work that needs doing.

Recently had an emergency situation where we had to call an electrian. Our neighbour gave us the number of AcuCert, phoned and spoke to Ian who turned up at our door a few hours later and solved the problem. I was extremely impressed with the courtesy and efficiency of this company.Claire on the end of the phone was very understanding as I had to ask for the receipt to be e-mailed as I couldn't open the link on my phone - technology has passed me by.

Switching problem

Ian solved an irritating electrical problem. My cloakroom had a single switch outside the door which turned on the light and extractor fan. When the switch was turned off after use, the fan continued to run for 10 minutes before turning itself off. Ian replaced the single switch with a double switch, a bit of wiring, and problem solved; one switch for the light, one for the extractor fan. Very clever solution which did not require separate wiring for the second switch. Ian is very professional and helpful.
